Its ok Shoey. I don't think he would hold a grudge. He's dead.

As Wayne says Hicks will not hold it against you, however evidently his followers have issued a Fatwah on you, stroke your head while you still have it.

No, he's gone. Definately gone.

It's a broad, mass appeal fresh studio sitcom, a HUGE success.

Just because YOU don't like it - doesn't mean it's not good.

Perhaps your niche tastes aren't being served by this show, but you know what? My mum isn't that keen on Stewart Lee.

Whether it has broad, mass appeal, or is fresh is crushed by the overbearing weight of a performance that is just so fucking monotone.

For some reason it reminds me of Faith No More "If I speak at one constant volume, at one constant pitch, at one constant rhythm, right into your ear..."

My favourite character is Gunther's counterpart from Friends. So camp.

In your opinion.

My beef with the criticism in this thread is that you are complaining about a genre of programming you clearly aren't interested in.

Ironic?

Actually, all I want is a decent sitcom. It's just that Neil from the Young Ones had Rik, Vyvyan and Mike for variety, instead of half and hour of muhmuhmuhmuh.

And I think The IT Crowd was a better example, Justin.

I think it's quite funny in a "something quite funny to watch before I go to bed" kind of a way.
And I like Bill Hicks and the Thick Of It too.

I feel the same way about Top Gear. So I don't watch it. :D

I can't comment on this series of Miranda because 5 minutes into episode 1 of the first series I could stand no more.
I haven't seen any of it since. Best for all concerned, really.
