Are you a Comedian? Are you a Performer still without a venue for a show at this year's Manchester Comedy Festival in October (Mon 18th - Sun 31st October)?

One could be of assistance.

If you are a comedian or comedy performer in need of a venue and want to do a one off performance, a run of shows, more shows at a moments notice or something comically spectacular & different then please get in touch. The venues in question are varied in size and can accommodate from between 40 and 150 audience members. I’m looking to price tickets between £0.00 if you want to do your shows for free (You can do a collection at the end of your show) & up to £5*. The choice is yours. I’d like to make all shows as accessible as possible without huge costs to the punter but with enough for the performer. Your show, if you wish, will be promoted by LOL! Management for the venue you choose and will also feature amongst these additional shows…

Mancjester Comedian of the Year 2010: 24 Entrants, 3 heats, some judges and a Final, all during the Festival. Details to follow in August on if you’re eligible to enter and how to do so.
Stand Off Comedy: Stand Up gets a kick up the 8Mile with 8 Comedians gag-battling it out to take the mic and perform their set at the end of the night. (Possibility of a Headliners Special - TBC)
Favourite Things (A comedy chat show & tell): 4 special shows held over the two weekends of the festival where comics come before a live audience and show & discuss what makes them happy. Is it an Object? Is it Music? A Film? Or just a pure thought. (Guests wanted – Please email me if interested)

Interested at all? Well, if you are all you need to do is drop me an email to wayne.lolmanagement@gmail.com with your show details and expectations, but please put “MCF10” in the subject heading. Let’s see what we can do.
Cheers y'all!

Wayne Williams @ LOL! Management
wayne.lolmanagement@gmail.com

* There is a door split cover in effect for any shows that charge an entry fee, which does pay more in favour of the performer. Details on request.

Anymore takers? I am now booking for Room Two at MOHO Live for all nights except Saturdays. Its well soundproofed from the Main room (Which at present is available on Mon 18th, Tues 19th & Sun 31st of October - Ask for rates on the large room), holds 70 seated with an additional 20-30 standing and has its own bar inside.

I shall be more venues on board and beginning to schedule acts into slots this weekend.

It's a great little room. So they've properly sound proofed it now Wayne?

Aye, I went in the week. All soundproofed and something else is being done to it in September too.

Size wise how does it compare with the room at Fuel?

What kind of track record do they have at promoting comedy?

Lee is right. Twice the capacity and quite cozy too.

They have had Frog Xmas gigs on in the past and as Dave said, Wrong-Prov was there two years ago. Although Moho don't have experience of booking & promoting Comedy, I do. I have nearly 7 years of booking, promoting and producing comedy at clubs and festivals. I'd like to think I've been quite successful too.

Damo, if you is interested get in touch fella!

Anyone who wishes to book a large scale gig (up to 200) for a solo or showcase slot, can do so as i'm now taking MCF bookings for Night n Day cafe. There is a room cost of £150 for this venue but... if three acts/performers think they can put on 3 shows on & have a chance to pull a decent crowd, then I will go halfs with you (£25 per show). If you manage to sell it out, i'll give you your £25 back.

This was confirmed yesterday but didn't have chance to post. My bad!
